In 2001, I sat in a shopping mall in the US and watched a person printing mugs, mouse mat etc. and wondered what was going on as they produced many in the short space of time that I was watching them. On my return to the UK I started searching the internet and found the process was called dye sublimation, so I started my own printing business called Inkies, an online personalised gift shop. As time passed, I found there was so many products which could be personalised with images. The one that I found most fascinating was ceramic tiles.
In 2005, I started my second website solely dedicated to ceramic tiles and tile murals. Upon a request from a customer for a tile mural he had found on The Tile Mural Store - North America, I contacted Toni in the US and with her help we produced our first mural. The feedback from our first tile mural lead us to our third and fourth website where we have teamed up the Toni at The Tile Mural Store to offer the fantastic selection of murals and accent tiles on display at the Tile Mural Store - UK.
